British soccer star Ashley Cole was miffed that when you Googled “Ashley Cole”, Google offered up an alternative search, of “Ashley Cole gay”. So he had his lawyers complain to Google. Google explains that the alternative search terms offered up by the Google search engine are generated automatically.

Ironically, the press coverage of Cole’s tizzy fit complaining about the word “gay” being linked to his name in Google searches have caused..yep… the word “gay” to be linked to his name in Google searches.
