“A lost world teeming with previously unknown or presumed extinct wildlife that has remained untouched by humans and is as close to the Garden of Eden as is possible exists in the jungle-covered mountains of Indonesia’s Papua province, scientists say.”
Scientists described how the rare animals, never having seen man before, are completely unafraid of them. They were able to walk right up to several animals and pick them up, as the animals had no reason to fear man. Yet.
Ironically, in announcing this find, this ensures that the lost world will be over-found and exploited, and that the animals once presumed extinct now will be extinct within 100 years, tops.

This makes me very sad - poor creatures don’t know what they are in for.

They just should have documented it, backed out, and left with instuctions to seal the info for 100 years. Maybe by then we could handle the responsibility.

I thought I was the only who thought this was moronic. When our local news came out with this story, the newswoman actually said that before the animals ended up here (she was at the zoo), the animals needed to be fully documented and tested for safety. Let’s just round them all up and poke and prod them and stick them in a cage…Yeah, real smart.

One day we will find that those who are aliens to our world will find us quite docile, will pick us up and will remark at how “Eden-like” our lost world is. God help us all!
