Consigned to the Back of the Bus in Life, “Seats” Next to Rosa Parks Now the Most Expensive in the House

Filed under: Human Nature — Posted by Irony Queen on March 4th, 2006

Ordered to sit in the back of the bus due to her skin colour, Rosa Parks became famous for her refusal to do so. Now, after her death, rather than being consigned to the back of the eternal bus, Rosa Parks has the seats that everyone wants.

According to Woodlawn Cemetary, crypts next to Parks have jumped from $17,000 to over $24,000 since her interment, and the renaming of the mausoleum in which she rests to the “Rosa L. Parks Memorial Chapel”.

The woman who was ordered to the seats nobody wanted is now the woman next to whom everyone wants to eternally rest.

How Ironic is This??

1 Iron: Totally Lame
2 Irons: "Is that the best you can do?"
3 Irons: "Some might see some irony in this."
4 Irons: Tinged with Irony
5 Irons: Now That's Ironic!
