Border Patrol Agent Oscar Antonio Ortiz Sentenced for…Smuggling in Immigrants

Filed under: Human Nature, Law, The World — Posted by Irony Queen

Border Patrol Agent Oscar Antonio Ortiz arrived in the United States as an illegal alien himself, as a child. He grew up to be a border patrol agent, someone whose entire job it is to protect the U.S. border from the importation of illegal items - and people. That in itself is ironic, although Ortiz did not know that he was an illegal immigrant. His mother had obtained a fake birth certificate for him when he was a small child, and so he believed himself to be a U.S. citizen.

More ironic, however, is that this Border Patrol Agent was just convicted of smuggling in at least 100 illegal immigrants.
